Ace of Aces...Quadruple Remarque

Here we have a complete one off , a quadruple remarque from the master Robert Taylor this remarque stretches right along the bottom of the print , it is in excellent condition and has two extra Luftwaffe Aces signatures...Erich Hartmann became the world's top-scoring fighter pilot, achieving 352 aerial victories during World War II, a feat that is never likely to be surpassed. Flying the legendary Messerschmitt Me109, Hartmann was invincible in the air, achieving his phenomenal success during no fewer than 1400 combat missions. His tactics were simple: "Get in so close to your opponent that you cannot miss." This required supreme courage and flying skill but was not without its hazards: of the 16 times he was brought down, 8 of these were caused by flying debris from the aircraft he had just destroyed. Robert Taylor's beautiful painting depicts Erich Hartmann, Ace of Aces, leading a swarm of Me109Gs as they half-roll into attack, high over the Russian front. This print has gone on to become one of the most highly desired in the world, and is sold at tremendous value in the rare occasion it appears on the secondary market! GATHERING OF EAGLES...Artist Proof Huge Double Remarque

This is a very rare print sold out many years ago and is well sought after on the secondary market. This numbered 33/50 Artist proof and has been adorned with a large stunning Remarque. Robert Taylor's "Gathering of Eagles"...When in late April 1986 many of the world's greatest and most famous aviators assembled in Las Vegas for a celebration reunion and symposium on air combat it was in an atmosphere of great conviviality and friendship. Nostalgic stories were swapped and the achievements of man in the air celebrated as only those can who have contributed so much to this unique area of endeavor. In 1944, however, it was with a far more serious purpose that the original gathering of eagles' occurred. In the scene portrayed by Robert Taylor, B-17 bombers of the Mighty Eighth are seen returning from a mission over Germany, escorted by P-51 Mustangs of the USAAF and RAF Spitfires. Having endured all the flak thrown at them by the ground defenses, the courageous and determined crews now have to face attacks by FW-190 pilots of Luftwaffe.
